Half-marathon Training

My husband and I have decided to start training for a half-marathon. We have talked about doing this for several years (almost 10 in reality). Running was something I enjoyed for several years. It was a meditation for me. There is something about the connection between the sole of the shoe and the pavement that lulls one into an almost trancelike state (don’t close your eyes, you may fall!). Then bam, life gets in the way, and now it is seven years later, and I am beginning again. Not at zero as for the past nine months, I have done one day a week consistently. Let me tell you, that ain’t enough. So when we found this link on active.com for the Jeff Galloway method of training, and you only have to be able to WALK at a 17-minute pace for 3 miles, we thought, why not! Training starts soon, and it six months long. Wish us luck!
